Start from scratch using premium local flour and water. You'll use your strength to knead the dough until it reaches the perfect, chewy texture - a traditional technique passed down through generations.

Cut

Roll out the dough and use a knife to slice it into  beautiful, uniform noodles. Mastering the steady rhythm of the blade is a deeply satisfying part of the craft.

Meet your host

Hi !!

I grew up in Japan, where simple, homemade meals were always a beautiful part of everyday life. For me, making udon from scratch is more than just cooking - it's about the  joy of sharing a meal with the people you care about.

Our workshop isn't a formal cooking school; it's a cozy experience right in my kitchen. It's a chance to slow down, use your hands, and connect over a steaming bowl of fresh noodles.

After cooking, we'll enjoy a cup of tea, a seasonal dessert, and some relaxed conversation. I hope this  experience becomes a warm, memorable  part of your journey!

FAQ

What exactly will we do during the experience?

You’ll learn how to make Japanese udon noodles from scratch! We’ll knead the dough, roll it out, and cut it into noodles. At the end, we’ll enjoy the fresh udon together with delicious toppings.

Where are you located?

We are near the Kyoto Imperial Palace and the Kamogawa River.

Do I need to bring anything?

Nothing at all! I provide aprons and all the equipment you need. Just bring your appetite!

Is there an age limit for the experience?

The hands-on experience is for guests aged 5 and older. Children under 5 are more than welcome to come along and stay with you for free, but they won't be able to participate in the actual noodle-making.

Can I come just to watch without participating?

As our kitchen is a cozy, private space, we kindly ask that all guests entering the studio be paid participants. This helps me ensure everyone has enough space and the best possible experience. Thank you for your understanding!

Can I take the udon home with me?

To ensure food safety and the best taste, all udon must be enjoyed right here in the studio. Nothing beats the taste of freshly made noodles!

Do you accept walk-ins?

Since I prepare fresh ingredients for each guest, advance booking is required. Please reserve your spot through our website.

Can I take photos or videos?

Of course! Please feel free to capture your fun memories. If there are other guests joining you, I just ask that you kindly respect their privacy as well.
